Abstract EN

This study is an attempt to present an econometric treatment of the gap model of Okun's law in Algeria during the period 1980-2018.

The study will address the reformulation of this model in accordance with the nature and specifics of the savings subject of this study while referring to certain assumptions on the basis of which some previous studies were based.

In this context, we used the estimation of the non-linear model called the NARDL model, which analyzes the asymmetric influence of variations in real unemployment rates around their natural rate on variations in gross domestic product around its latent product, The analysis arrived at results indicating the non-linearity of the deviation model in Algeria, by proving the hypothesis of the non-symmetric relationship.
