That is done through transforming some classroom-based educational activities into extra-curricular ones, and via deploying certain mechanisms and technological media in extra-curricular learning that could enhance and strengthen this new type of instruction, i.

Distance Education.

Distance education in Algeria, as viewed through the lens of high school classroom-based instruction, allowed for the integration of novel non-attendance instruction modes after it was adopted by most countries in the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This experiment, however, uncovered many advantages and drawbacks associated with this new mode of instruction; hence, we attempt in our paper to answer the following question: What is the state of high school distance education? What are the obstacles it faces? And is extra-curricular learning an effective method in distance education?
