Abstract EN

The Kofa scholars had received their Knowledge in Arabic grammar from the Basra scholars.

After that they tried to establish their own terms and school of grammar.

But still the Kofa terms stood after the Basra terms bccause the Basra terms were more precise and more obvious than the Kofa terms.

As we know that the Baghdad school of grammar depended upon those schools, but adopted the Kofa school more than the Basra one.

Ibn Khalawaihi one of the scholars that visited Baghdad and met some of its scholars and had been a student to some of them.

He had adopted their methods of thinking, teaching and then their terms.

So Ibn Khalawaihi had adopted the Kofa terms and some of the Basra terms and then added some of his own contribution.ُ
