Our study aims at attempting to identify the reality and requirements for rational management of public expenditure in Algeria, in order to achieve sustainable development goals.

We tried to unveil the application reality of the various sectorial programs launched by the state (Supplementary Program to Support Growth, Economic Growth Support Program, Southern Regions Development Program, Highlands Development Program).We have reached several conclusions through this study, the most notable is the presence of a set of reservations and stakes that face the budgetary course, especially when it comes to minute estimations, level of execution, and the effectiveness of control over public expenditure that directly affects the achievement of sustainable development goals
