The article deals with the methods of medicine adopted by the general Moroccans during the contemporary period with the intention of treating some organic or psychological diseases, which were divided between traditional medicine (amulets, ironing with fire, herbs), and between the elite’s resort to some specialist doctors, led by the Fassi doctor who The article is known by him as Abdul Salam bin Muhammad Al-Alami Al-Hasani.

The article concludes with results, the most important of which is that the medical deficit and the traditional practices that Moroccans resorted to during the period of epidemics and famines created a major demographic crisis.

The health concern also constituted the most important element that European countries focused on to penetrate Morocco, at least since the mid-19th century.
