This research paper delves into the depth of the press image in an attempt to clarify its authority over the recipient in a digital environment crowded with news websites and social media platforms, with the aim of showing its news value and its communicative effectiveness; When you take on the task of history and manufacture of the "moment" at the same time.

This study is immersed in press photos, which were published by "El-Chorouk Online" website, which is an electronic portal for the "El-Chorouk" media institution.

These images are related to the fires that erupted in the wilaya of Khenchela, east of Algeria, in July 2021.

We will try to analyze them in the applied part of the study to understand their meanings, relying on two readings: asticism; It reveals what is apparent, and it is called in linguistics by revelation, and semantics that express the various forms of communication
