This study aimed to uncover the pros and cons of using the social network and the Facebook site as a model from the point of view of its pioneers, and the descriptive approach was used as the researcher applied a questionnaire to a sample of Facebook pioneers of professors and students of different levels and employees in different sectors, so the sample was random It is intended and includes (120) pioneers.

The results of the study showed that the advantages of using Facebook were in order: access to a large amount of information at the highest speed, ease of communication, help to participate in current events in society, help in freedom to express opinion freely about the prevailing conditions in society, strengthen the relationship between Others, increasing cultural, political and economic awareness, and finally contribute to solving many social and economic problems.

As for its disadvantages, in order: loss of privacy and lack of preservation of information, health damage (stress, weight gain, and influence on the eyes) and psychological (depression and insomnia), it encourages isolation and introversion, helps spread rumors and false information, helps to provoke sexual desires, and finally intrusion on The personal life of others.
