Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the poetic imagery used in the textbook of the college phase for the years accredited by the Algerian Ministry of Education.

To achieve this goal, we relied on the analysis of the content and the deduction of the poetic images found in the school books that represent the sample of this study, from which very valuable results were drawn: the taking in account of the development of the learner's mind through the gradation of intensified poetic imagery and also the development of the imagination which enshrines the main of the learner's image interaction, and of course, we have found that 'there is a need to diversify these poetic images there, such as comparison or even metaphor
