Abstract EN

Through this contribution, we try to raise a few questions and presume some answers about the problem of the tourism delay in Algerian society, despite the breadth, diversity and richness of the local tourism geography, and the importance of the same sector in national economic development.

Where we believe that its reasons remain part of it implicit, linked to the socialcultural dimensions, especially what relates to the structure of the mentality of society, and the extent of its impact on the behavior of individuals.

The phenomenon of tourism delay is associated to a set of interrelated variables, most notably the nature of the representations of the individual / societal Self, as well as of the Other (s), in addition to their representations of the tourist service itself, and finally the absence of an active socialization which can create a strong and coherent tourism culturethat supports inclusive development.
