This research paper aims to study the effects and potential repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism in Arab countries, , as a result of canceling many trips and tourism services, which led many countries to reduce its expected plans for the current year 2020, amid a pessimistic view of the future of tourism activity, whose revenues represent an important item in the economies of many Arab countries.

The results of the study concluded that the demand for travel in the Arab world will decrease by 47% in 2020 compared to 2019, and the contribution of the travel and tourism sector to the Arab economy decreased by about $ 126 billion, which threatens the loss of about 4 million job opportunities in the sector in 2020.

It should be noted that the specificity of the impact of each country is related to the nature of the economic system in it, the extent of its ability to withstand these repercussions and the speed of recovery from it.

By proposing alternatives for different policies based on possible scenarios within certain time periods.
