This research paper aims to address the most important variables controlling the financial balance of the retirement system in Algeria in light of demographic transitions, by analyzing the most important features of the system and the causes of the disability it suffers from for several consecutive years, which will affects future generations due to the decline in contributions, the aging of society and the increase in life expectancy of retirees.

At the end, we present a set of suggestions to ensure and maintain financial balance.
