Rendre les informations accessibles a tous etait le role primordial qu’a joue la techniques de numerisation dans les institutions documentaires et ce en procurant des copies numeriques destinees aux divers documents de fond afin de les saisir rapidement chose qui va contribuer, et de maniere directe, au tra^age d’un plan strategique dedie aux informations de l’institution d’un cote, et a la prise des decisions adequates par les autorite superieurs d’un autre.

Or, l’institution se trouve face a un challenge de taille du a, cette croissance technologique subite chose qui menace la continuite des informations numeriques ; de ce fait, les institutions etaient appelees a prendre en consideration la conservation numerique afin de rendre le monde qui lui est dedie accessible a long terme.

Digitization techniques in documentation institutions have played an important role in making information available to everyone, by providing digital copies of the institution’s various documents and by putting them into circulation among the different departments in a quicker way, because that should contribute directly to the setting of strategic planning for the institution’s information on the one hand, and making right decisions by higher authorities on the other hand.

Even though the documentation institution faces a greater challenge due to this rapid development of technology, which became a threat to the sustainability of digital information, and this is why it was necessary for documentation institutions to pay attention to the issue of digital preservation in order to make digital entities available in the long term.

In order to study what was mentioned above, we highlighted the experiment of the National Social Security Fund for Salaried Workers (CNAS) and the digitization and preservation of its archive in order to ensure the sustainability of digital information.

In our study, we adopted the descriptive approach to study the reality in order to get generalizable results.

Among the most prominent findings of the study is that digital information are threatened with loss at any time due to the rapid technological bsolescence despite the provision of the necessary technological capabilities, and the (CNAS) archive attaches utmost importance to digital preservation by relying on several strategies that allow digital information to be preserved for future generations.
