This paper aims mainly lightning the concept of six sigma, and the mechanisms of its implementation, also the difficulties that may hindering its application in Algerian higher education institutions.

Some solutions have been proposed based on the research results, the most important of which is the importance of this methodology, As well as attracting experts in six sigma to train those charged with applying them at the universities.
