Today, our university libraries are making significant investments in order to implement technological projects and digital initiatives to manage their administrative affairs more efficiently and effectively and develop their services in line with the changing needs of users.

But reality has revealed that most IT initiatives don't achieve satisfactory results compared to what was spent on them by the considerable potential, which made them just initiatives to implement the technology.

This research attempts to provide some answers about the role of information technology governance in making the most of the implementation of information technology in Algerian university libraries.
