Abstract EN

Religious places are one of the important places in any narrative work, because of their deep semantics influencing on the psychology of recipient.

Specially if those places are among Islamic sanctities such as the holy Al-Haramain Al-Sharifain and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

Hence in the frame of the international seminar of the religious tourism, and their ways of activating, organized in the National Center of the Research in the Islamic Sciences and Civilization, in Laghouat, Algeria, this paper seeks to study the symbolism of these places in the Algerian novels, and how they relate to the reality of the individual and society.

Therefore we rely on two novels; Malek Bennabi's novel, named “Lebbeik: the Pilgrimage of the Poor”, also “ sonata for El Quds ghosts “ of wasini AL Araj.
