This research seeks to be based on the efforts of scholars in the study of language, and to know the extent of their commitment to a specific approach in establishing the various linguistic sciences, and analyzing the linguistic material.

It also aims to try to make sure that their works were committed to a curriculum or were lacking in a sound plan in this area, through A comparison of their works, with what modern linguistics has produced from modern methods of studying language scientifically, and pushing for what some researchers that the old linguistic lesson among the Ar, despite the density of linguistic information and the scientific accuracy of subtraction and conclusion, but there is no following in it, allegedly.

That the linguistic lesson in general, did not know modern curricula until recently, such as the historical curriculum, the descriptive curriculum, the comparative curriculum and the contrastive curriculum.

In order to know this claim, whether it is a fact or just a suspicion, it is necessary to extrapolate the effects of Arab linguists and interrogate the contents of their books, in order to find out facts that prove the ancient application of Arabic scholars of the curriculum or deny it from them.
