Abstract EN

The concept of historicism in Islamic thought was linked to the sacred text by linking the meaning of the Qur'an text to reality, time and place.

However, this concept is accompanied by lot of confusion among the Egyptian thinker Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid (1943-2010), and accordingly this study tagged with (the historical ambiguous concept-Nasr Hamid Aby Zaid) came as an attempt to lift this confusion and clarify this concept for this thinker who admits that his saying with the history of the text does not mean at all its time nor is it a denial of its deity.

Rather the historical one he intended is that the Qur'an was descended in history and prove the historical dimension of the Qur'an text, he touched upon there elements related to the sciences of the Qur'an, namely the Meccan and Medinan, the causes of revelation, the copyist and the abrogated one, considering that they are three points that show history of the Qur'an text not only with him, but with the agreement of thinkers.
