Abstract EN

The study aimed to find the contribution of cognitive distortions in predicting the anxious and avoidant attachment styles among middle school students.

Where the study sample consisted of (319) students from different acadimic levels studying in the state of Chlef, After applying the tools and after statistical analysis.

The results revealed a contribution of the idealistic thinking dimension, and an over-generalization dimension in predicting anxious attachment, and there is also a contribution of the emotional reasoning in predicting avoidant attachment.
