The public space has formed an intellectual obsession on the social level in that it is a fabric formed by a group of individuals who have the status of citizenship that gives them the right to participate in political life by raising issues that pertain to their living world in forums designated for that, and this is similar to the Greek agora and the Roman forum, which They were the cradle of citizenship and political practice.

And from this, the concept of civil society was formed as a parallel formation to the ruling authority, which is the conception put forward by Hegel in his philosophical encyclopedia.

The origin of the public space coincided with the origin of civil society, which they are developed throughout political history in European societies to reach the form it has reached with the development of political practices and the multiplicity of its tools, especially what has been termed as participatory democracy.

In this research paper will address the development of civil society and its relationship with public space by returning to philosophical and social references, especially Habermas, who re-reviewed Kant's concept of public space and its relationship to the civil society and public opinion.
