Abstract EN

This study aims to examine the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross to face the problem of internal displacement, and assist the internally displaced persons.

Especially when the international community has not provided adequate legal protection and financial support.

Indeed, the International Committee of the Red Cross has played a major role in resolving the problem of internal displacement.

Whether before the occurring of this internal displacement and in that case the ICRC works to prevent its causes.

Or when it happens, here the ICRC tries to help the internally displaced to accommodate with the new living conditions and facilitates the return to their homes whenever possible.

Despite this, the ICRC's efforts remain insufficient, due to the sharp increase in the number of internally displaced persons, as well as due to the lack of sufficient support from countries and other international organizations.
