Governance and sustainable development have become the latest concepts in economic science, as governance is a key factor in achieving sustainable development.

This paper aims to examine the role of governance in achieving sustainable development by first defining corporate governance, then addressing sustainable development, and as a third point to highlight the role of governance in achieving sustainable development.

It was concluded that there is a close relationship between governance and sustainable development, and there can be no sustainable development without good governance.
