This study aims to identify the reality of the Algerian economy, by touching on the most important stations that have passed since independence to this day.

It also aims to identify the differentchallenges faced and the reforms undertaken in it.

The study concluded that the Algerian economy has undergone three major phases, the most severe of which is the economic reform phase.The study also concluded that the Algerian economy depends on the hydrocarbon sector and is experiencing slow growth at the current stage, and is trying to adapt to the changes and trying to move towards a model of growth and diversification.
