Agriculture is one of the main economic growth promoter of the country.
Its main objective is to be able to insure food self-sufficiency.
It has a significant impact on the growth of other economic sectors, especially foreign trade.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the situation of Algerian agriculture and its contribution in the promotion of Algerian nonhydrocarbon exports with a focus on the date sector.

L’agriculture est l’un des principaux moteurs de la croissance économique du pays, son objectif principal est de pouvoir arriver à l’autosuffisance alimentaire.
Elle a un impact significatif sur la croissance des autres secteurs de l’économie et notamment le commerce extérieur.
Le but de cet article est d’analyser la situation de l’agriculture algérienne et sa contribution dans la promotion des exportations hors hydrocarbures en mettant l’accent sur la filière des dattes.
