Today, through the huge and endless number of images that it transmits through its channels, television plays multiple roles and functions, most notably the function of education through its various programmes, in the forefront of which we find documentaries of a cultural and artistic nature, and our research paper comes within this context.

This subject was dealt with by dedicating three aspects: the methodological, theoretical and applied aspect, as the methodological aspect included defining the subject of the study and its importance, in addition to raising the problem and its questions.

The practical aspect of the study was represented in an analytical study of a number of episodes of the "About Cinema" program in its second season, which is broadcast on the satellite channel "Al Jazeera News", and how its contents contribute to educating us about cinematic art.
