Abstract EN
The objective of this study is to assess the relationship between the national banking system and the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs,) sector, considering the financial needs given the role of these enterprises in the development process, which means the need to reconsider the nature of the relationship between the two parties that are the most important actors in the national economy.
The analytical descriptive approach has been adopted.
The study found that the Algerian banking system lacks modern management methods that qualify it to be the most strategic source to reduce the problem of financing the small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs).

Cette étude vise à évaluer la relation entre le système bancaire national et le secteur des petites et moyennes entreprises (PME), tout en considérant les besoins financiers compte tenu et le rôle de ces entreprises dans le processus du développement, cela signifie que la nature de la relation entre ces deux acteurs les plus importants de l’économie nationale doit être réexaminée.
L’approche analytique descriptive a été adoptée pour la présentation et l’interprétation des résultats.
L’étude révèle que le système bancaire algérien manque de méthodes de gestion modernes lui permettant de devenir la source la plus stratégique pour atténuer le problème du financement des petites et moyennes entreprises (PME).
