Abstract EN

This research aims to examine the concept of biopolitics developed by Michel Foucault, and identify its manifestations in the Arab democratic movement, by analyzing events and developments in the so-called Arab Spring.

To do this, we expose first the concept of biopolitics as an analytical framework in the field of political science.

Then, we analyse the relationship between biopolitics and totalitarianism, and demonstrate the intellectual harmony between the two paradigms.Finally, we analyze the manifestations of biopolitics in the democratic movement.
