Since the Industrial Revolution, the world has known a sharp increase in global inequality, a division of the world into a developed North and a backward South representing Third World countries and a growing division between the two worlds, which is reflected in indicators of economic inequality revealing disparities in other aspects of an individual's life.
Health, education and even the environment issues require an explanation of the nature and causes of global inequality and the reasons for its persistence and expansion on a world scale

Depuis la révolution industrielle, le monde a connu une forte augmentation des inégalités mondiale une division du monde entre un Nord développé et un Sud représentant les pays du Tiers-Monde et un fossé croissant entre les deux mondes, qui se traduit par des indicateurs d'inégalité économique révélant des disparités dans d'autres aspects de la vie d'un individu.
La santé, l'éducation et même l'environnement, ce qui nécessite une explication de la nature et des causes de l'inégalité mondiale et des raisons de sa persistance et de son expansion à l'échelle mondiale.
