Abstract EN

This study treats the image of the satirized in (Naqaid Jarir and Akhtal ), the concept is consists of an introduction and two axes, the introduction tackles the notion of poetic image from the critical point of view.

The first axis discussis the modes of the image ofthe satirized, which consists of the elements sensational, kine tic image, and model image.

The second axis observes the most important means by which the image of the satirized is pictured in (Naqaid Jarir and Akhtal) .

It finds that such image is fromed through three expressionistic means - figurafire and its forms, viz .

simile, metaphor and metonymy ; poetic symble; and the authentic use of language.
