In this article, we dealt with the emergence of Arab theater in Algeria in the early twenties of the last century and the backgrounds of its emergence beginning with the aspects of the renaissance that the Algerian people began to know through the establishment of associations, clubs and the practice of journalism, in addition to the awareness of some patriots such as Prince Khaled of the importance of cultural resistance in facing the colonial reality He was interested in theater, and the friction occurred with the Arab Levantine theater, and from it was the beginning of the emergence of the Arab theater in Algeria, which continued to accompany the national movement and live its struggles within the theatrical performances that sparked the enthusiasm of the masses and contributed to educating the Algerian people and mobilizing them behind the growing activity of the national movement, So the Algerian theater passed through several different stages until the outbreak of the revolution 1954.
