Scientific advances in the field of genetics and biotechnology have become a reality.

However ,such advances could result in creating conflicts with many legal principles, many of which lie at the borderlines between the acceptable and unacceptable advances in this field.

Nowadays, scientific research has great demands, but in the meanwhile, privacy of the individuals should be maintained.

Thus, the legislative power should take scientific advances in the field of genetics into account and suggest different means to maintain the consistency between this advance and the legislations that protect the rights of the individuals.

This study discusses several aspects of protecting the genetic privacy of individuals.

This study specifies how the genetic privacy of the individuals should be protected by the law.

An individual’s genetic information has a strong connection to his life, health and social situation.

This genetic information can be used for unethical purposes outside the scientific and medical applications.

And it becomes a goal that employers and insurance companies seek to reach and use for genetic distinction, which undermines the individual rights of the person and his right to equality in the absence of comparative legislation that includes comprehensive protection from genetic discrimination.
