Abstract EN

The study was aimed to devise the educational methods included in Islamic thought, and determine the degree of parental practice of it.

The research followed the descriptive and analytical approach to measure its objectives, through the design of the educational methods scale, it was applied to a sample of (1068) students, and through extrapolation of Islamic thought and after processing the data statistically, it resulted in the following: the educational methods deduced from Islamic thought are: setting an example, dialogue and discussion, role models, storytelling, inducement and intimidation, lessons and sermons, education by worship.

Setting and example, worship and inducement and intimidation are the most common methods among parents, and that the level of parenting practicing educational methods in general are high.

There are statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 to the degree in which parents practice storytelling method and worship in favor of literary majors students, to the degree in which parents practice role models and examples in favor of highly educated parents, and to the degree in which parents practice the method of lessons and sermons, examples, dialogue, discussion, inducement and intimidation in favor of Bachelor's students, and to the degree that parents practice various educational methods in the higher income families.
