Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to reveal the implicits motives behind the continued presence of mediation culture (al-Maarifa / nepotism) inside the space of modernist institutions in Algerian society.

To that end, we have taken the hospital as research field and relied on one of the sociological approaches represented by historicist analysis (A.

Touraine).

Through it, we concluded that the cultural model prevailing by the dominant group inside the hospital space, as well as the absence of a basis for voluntary integration into the institution are those that contribute to the continuity of the presence of mediation among doctors and nurses.
