A stock exchange for small and medium enterprises in Algeria was established as a new funding source for them in 2012 to cover the difficulties they were facing in banking financing, after nearly ten years of its establishment, only one institution was listed in 2018, which is AOM Invest, and this is due to the fact that 97% of these institutions are miniature family establishments, in addition to the absence of awareness and the Stock Exchange culture.

In order to activate this stock exchange, there must be political will accompanied by the creation of a suitable investment climate
