Abstract EN

This scientific review aimed to review the literature on intellectual production published in the field of library and information on the subject of ""Information and Decision Making,"" which has a total of 101 items; to identify its features and analyze its objective, temporal, qualitative, formal, and linguistic characteristics.

The scientific review used the bibliographical and bibliometric approach and dealt with studies published from 2010 until the end of 2020, linguistic limits that dealt with the intellectual production published in Arabic and English only, and formal and qualitative limits represented in all forms of intellectual production, which varied between university theses and scientific articles, conference proceedings, and books, whether printed or electronic.

Among the most prominent findings of the scientific review are that the most analytical studies are articles in scientific journals, where they came in the first place with a percentage of (39.6%), followed by university theses with a percentage of (38.6%), in addition, information centers and their role in decision-making were the least thematic sectors found among these analytical studies, as they came in the last rank with a percentage of (19.8%).

The scientific review recommended the need to work on increasing studies and research related to studying the role and importance of information centers, especially Arabic, in support and decision-making; intending to study its reality and activate its role in providing the necessary information to decision-makers to contribute to supporting and decision-making actively.
