Pedagogical remediation, in the primary context, is considered to be, an eminently positive strategy for its prerogative to attenuate the genesis of learning difficulties, one of the mechanisms of school failure.

Its implementation in classes is not straightforward; the teacher remains the stage director of the methodological conditions likely to increase its effectiveness.

However many teachers, through confusion or ignorance, emerge plural and amorphous forms, which often compromise the expected interest.

The present research focuses on remediation in primary school FFL classes, with a precise study angle, on remedial practices of teachers.

The main questions concern the understanding of remediation and the underlying methodological aspects likely to lead to its success.

The result obtained through a field survey addressed to teachers show that the quality of the remediation is a corollary of its understanding and of the methodological path pursued.

La remédiation pédagogique, dans le contexte primaire, est considérée comme une stratégie éminemment positive pour sa prérogative d'atténuer la genèse des difficultés d'apprentissage, un des mécanismes de l'échec scolaire.

Sa mise en œuvre en classes ne va pas de soi; l'enseignant reste le metteur en scène des conditions méthodologiques susceptibles de majorer son efficacité.

Or nombre d'enseignants, par confusion ou par méconnaissance, émergent des formes plurielles et amorphes qui compromettent souvent l'intérêt escompté.

La présente recherche se penche sur la remédiation en classes de FLE du cycle primaire, avec un angle d'étude précis, les pratiques remédiantes des enseignants.

Les principales interrogations portent sur la compréhension de la remédiation et sur les aspects méthodologiques sous-jacents susceptibles de susciter sa réussite.

Les résultats obtenus via une enquête de terrain adressée aux enseignants montrent que la qualité de la remédiation est un corollaire de sa compréhension et du cheminement méthodologique poursuivi.
