Abstract EN

The research deals with (Educational values in the Iranian contemporary short story for the child).

This is through studying the short stories (Wear for the Giant) and (What Happens in this wolf Belly?) for the contemporary writer Abbas Kadeer Mohseny.

In the beginning, the researcher clarifies the characteristics of the short story for the child in Iran identifying its different forms, then the researcher points to the importance of educational values for the child in general, and the necessity of its existence in children's stories in particular.

In addition, the researcher observes the educational values in both short stories in detail and the lessons learned for the child in which he/ she can use them in different situations that face him / her in life.

In the end, the research results returned that both short stories include many positive values that provide the child with useful educational experiences in which the writer puts them in an attractive style.

This happens through a fantastic plot and symbolic style in characterization and conflict in order to excite the child's mind and develop his thinking.

Moreover, the time of events is unknown and not specific in order to add some generalization and comprehensiveness.

However, the events take place in specific places depicting the difficult atmosphere in which the weak won and end up in a happy ending in order to establish the importance of the educational values he, the writer, calls for in the mind of the child.
