Abstract EN

This research deals with a scientific study of the basalt funerary slab engraved with bas-relief engravings, belonging to the city governor and minister "Para'hotep" JdE 47001, where the reference is made to the material of manufacture, dimensions and original location.

The study also presents a description, translation and commentary of the inscriptions of the painting, which is divided into three records, the first of which includes the owner of the painting, the ruler of the city, the minister Parahotep and the royal envoy worshiping the gods Nefertum and Bastet.

As for the second record, it includes the owner of the painting and behind him the priest of Osiris worshiping the gods Re Hor Akhti, Maat and Hathor and at the end of the record the god Hor Ibn Iza heading to the right, while the third and final record depicts the owner of the painting and behind him the face of the two lands worshiping the gods Hurry Shef and Hathor and at the end of the record the goddess Mahit heading to the right .

The study was also concerned with the comparative approach in dealing with the bodies of characters and deities included in the painting, especially with regard to their external bodies represented in the vocabulary of dress and adornment.
