Hume was influenced by many philosophers, including Jeremiah Besham and Immanuel Kant.

Bentham, or the philosophers of the English utilitarian school, said that the straw fell from his eyes when Hume read and admitted (Kant) that Hume was the first to wake him from his social slumber, and many of the principles of (Kant ), especially his interpretations of space, time, mentality, and others as answers, whether implicit or explicit, to problems raised by Hume.

Hume demonstrated the impossibility of accepting necessary mental priorities, and called for following the scientific method, which requires the return of every idea to the impression in which it was derived.

Hume's doctrine is a coherent unit of a conscious and in-depth view of human nature in which he attempted to build a new, clear and well-structured science that is the science of human nature.

He began his philosophy by calling for the scientific method on the Newtonian pattern, which is the method that requires taking observation as a guide and experience as a test, and we see him clearly admit that imagination has a creative power.

Knowledge achieves solid foundations upon which our knowledge of reality is based, and enables empathy to play its human role.
