The study aimed to identify the effect of a proposed sports recreational program in rationalizing some behaviors of children with Down syndrome who are eligible for training (10-12 years) in the educational psychological center in Al-Bayadh city.

The researcher used the experimental method to design the control and experimental groups.

, The results concluded that the proposed sports recreational program has a positive effect in rationalizing some behaviors of children with Down syndrome who are able to train.

The researcher recommended that physical education lessons for the mentally handicapped people with Down syndrome should include sports recreational programs based on scientific foundations to rationalize behaviors while preparing the educational environment in pedagogical centers with the capabilities and tools necessary to implement sports recreational programs.
