Abstract EN

The current research highlighted the life of Ibn Aladeem as a historian from Aleppo as he is considered one of the most prominent Arab historians during the crusade era in particular and the most important historian in the Abbasside era in general.

The research dealt with the role of this historian in the scientific, political and administrative aspects in Aleppo.

His life and family life was demonstrated in Aleppo and Levant.

The study pivoted on several points including; presenting and analyzing the historical texts to get the accurate narrations about the life of Ibn Aladeem and comparing these narrations with the new studies that dealt with him and therefore the researcher encounter challenges represented by seeking the most accurate information about Ibn Aladeem and so this pushed the researcher to rely on AlBughyah book, written by him, to obtain the most accurate details about him.

From the study, it was concluded that Ibn Aladeem was one of the great historians in the seventh century A.H/thirteenth century A.D.

He chronicled the events that took place in Levant in general and in Aleppo and the surrounding areas in particular.
