Abstract EN

This study aims to estimate the function of grain production in Algeria during the period from 1970 to 2019, as the study considered that grain production is a function of the following variables: the area of land cultivated with grains, the area irrigated, and agricultural mechanization.

To do this, we used the Douglas Cobb function to estimate the model parameters.

We found that the cereal production function is characterized by increasing returns to scale and that the production elasticities are 1.
