Since ancient times, women have been and still are the basis of the family and society, and the importance of the role that the legislator plays in all aspects of protection, including preventing harassment in any place.

the Iraqi legislator has been keen to protect women from harassment with her during the period of her search for work, and it is equal in terms of criminalization and punishment between women the working woman and the woman looking for work, despite the lack of equality between the working woman and the non-working woman, and this prejudices the right of the working woman or looking for work, because the penalty for the crime for a non-working woman is more severe than for the working woman or looking for work despite the unity of the protected interest except that it is the shyness, chastity, dignity and right of the woman to a free and dignified life, and on this basis we will try to clarify this issue in terms of its concept, pillars and punishment.
