Abstract EN

The study aimed to know the most important coping strategies used by the midwife in situations of psychological stress.

This study was conducted on a midwife at the hospital institution specialized in obstetrics and gynecology in the city of Biskra.

We adopted the clinical approach represented by the case study approach to the nature of the subject, and using the semi-directed clinical interview and the application of the CISS scale of Endler & Parker, and the Psychological Stress Scale Levenstein & Al Levenstein(1993), the study concluded that the midwife suffers from psychological stress as resorting to Use different strategies to counter it.

From our findings, we suggested some recommendations that may contribute to alleviating psychological stress.
