Abstract EN

The Algerian family is encountering big challenges brought about by various means of information and communication technology as well as social media.

These challenges are the result of large consumption and bad use of this technology inside and outside the family.

It well known that the family education process that underlies the social educational system is a process led and guided by the family seen as the first environment that embraces the children social care and education throughout the acquisition of values, behaviours, conceptions, traditions and practices that contribute to making the individual's forge their own personalities.

As far as the great informative and communicative technological advance is concerned, the family education in the Algerian society has become a big challenge in front of values, views and ideas this technology has brought about which may harm the education process notably when it is put to ill use.
