Environmental health issues are a major concern for both developed and developing countries alike, and environmental risks in developing countries are closely related to the lack of development, such as the lack of access to safe drinking water, inadequate sanitation infrastructure, and the low levels of cleanness and pollution with all its kinds.

Similar to developing countries, rates of diarrhea among children under the age of five in Algeria are still high.

According to the Ministry of Health, diarrhea is the main reason behind this group's entering to the hospital.

It is considered one of the most dangerous diseases that affect children under the age of five that can lead to death for this group of the population.

So, we attempted to study the determinants of the health of children under the age of five based on the analysis of the 2012-2013 survey data conducted by the Ministry of Health, Population and Reform Hospitals.
