Abstract EN

The subject of this research is centered on the term phoneme and its theory in terms of their first appearance and in terms of their different concept between the different European schools, and it identifies the reasons for the difference between them in its definition and employment due to the different viewpoints and study, and the intention is due to the different ideologies prevailing in the era of these scholars.

This is on the one hand.

On the other hand, this research presents the same term, which is the phoneme in the ancient Arabic stadies, with the most important terms that means the same meaning and function.
