This topic, which studies the phenomenon of searching for a partner via websites to build a future family, aims at disclosing the motives behind marriages of the youth via websites and their attitudes towards this phenomenon.

To attain the aforementioned objective, a number of questionnaires have been distributed to a sampling of youth.

Given the nature of data gathered, we have adopted the comparative and analytic method through which the most important results were as follows: Electronic media, despite being acknowledged as essential in the search for a partner in the social context of Algerian families, the youth still perceive marriage as a sacred bond and to founding a family as an indispensable social institution.
