Abstract EN

This study exposes the most important methods used in Media studies especially in the new media research area whish has appeared as a new sphere where the Arabic studies has tended to study and care about it, however the followed methods were quantitative by giving a statistical reading for the phenomenon without trying to understand it in its psychologic al and social context.

The trend towards using qualitative methods was ent because of the difficulties presented by its application in studying new media patterns in a new virtual sphere difficult to control.
