The end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 witnessed huge transformations in the global economy due to the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic, which prompted most of the developed and developing countries alike to take a set of urgent preventive measures to confront this pandemic, and this study came to shed light on the impact of this pandemic on the levels of rates Unemployment in Algeria.

This study concluded that unemployment rates in Algeria were negatively affected, which made them tend to rise, This prompted the Algerian government to take a set of mechanisms to ensure the preservation of job positions as possible, in the hope of undermining the intense spread of the unemployment phenomenon, with what it could have of social effects of a great degree of danger.
