antiquity and it is a phoneme that has had a great interest by researchers previously and nowadays.

Hamza was pronounced in two ways; some tribes, like (Tamim, kais, Asad and Rabiea) asserted it (i.

e, pronouncing it as a glottal stop), and other tribes; namely, urban tribes, like (Huzail, the people of Mecca and the people Medina) tended to pronounce it between assertion and simplicity because they pronounced it slowly, therefore they neglected uttering the glottal stop.

Accordingly, schools of ten readings of Quran were greatly interested in Hamza with regard to asserting it or pronouncing it between assertion and simplicity.

It was very clear that Makki Alqaisi was interested in readings of Quran and he was one of those scientists who were interested also in the aspect of Hamza and its issues, and this interest was reflected in his interpretation book, “Straight way to reach the destiny”.

So, I thought that my research could be specialized in studying such important aspect, Dialect variety role in directing ways of pronouncing Hamza and the effect of that on delivering the meaning, referred to in “Straight way to reach the destiny”, an interpretation book by Makki Bin Abi Taleb Alqaisi, (died in 437 AH).
